Hi! I'm Kelsey.

I discovered the doula profession through my time as an OB/GYN intern in a European hospital. Throughout my first experiences observing birth, I felt called to offer continuous support and informed choice. Now, I help parents to make hard decisions and feel a deeper sense of ease into their birth and parenting experiences.

I believe that everyone deserves choices that is specific to their individual needs. In personal and professional relationships, I find contentment in honoring all aspects of a person, and that this is particularly important during the transition into parenthood or when growing a family.

I began my doula certification process in 2016 through Cornerstone Doula Trainings (San Francisco), where I was certified as a labor, postpartum, and home birth doula. I also completed the full-spectrum doula training through Bay Area Doula Project (Oakland, CA). Since, I've founded Dancing Luna Doula, and continue to educate myself through attending workshops and events, contributing to the local doula community, and learning from other birth workers around the country.

In 2019, I formally began my education to become a certified home birth midwife, and became a certified placenta specialist with Cornerstone Doula Trainings. I do not provide midwifery or placental encapsulation services at this time.

When I'm not attending a birth or at an overnight postpartum shift, you can find me studying birth, sweating it out at a yoga class, learning to cook a new meal, drying herbs, or out in the garden.
